The main goal for developing our FloodModule was to create a mobile unit providing flood relief on a large scale, driven by our HydroSubs. As it is an add-on system for emergency response teams and firebrigades it is a very efficient solution.
Contents of the FloodModule
A FloodModule consists of multiple submersible FloodPumps, multiple lightweight 12” (300 mm) hoses, and hydraulic manifolds to connect the multiple FloodPumps to a single HydroSub. For the HydroSub 150 and HydroSub 250, all this is carried in a mini container that fits on the Hytrans DuoContainer system.
The special low-friction and lightweight 12″ FloodHose are made of PVC and can easily be deployed by only one person. The separate hose lengths are connected using a simple, patented coupling with a closing strap. As standard, 50 m of FloodHose is provided per FloodPump.
A flexible add-on system
The FloodModule is an add-on system to the HydroSub 150, HydroSub 250, and the HydroSub 1200. By replacing the standard submersible pumps by the FloodPumps, the combination is capable of reaching the following capacities:
- HydroSub 60: flood capacity of 20.000 lpm (using one FloodPump)
- HydroSub 150: flood capacity of 50.000 lpm
- HydroSub 250: flood capacity of 30.000 lpm
- HydroSub 1200: flood capacity of 120.000 lpm (only available for regulated HydroSubs)

Hytrans has developed the FloodPump for large scale flood relief. When used in conjunction with a HydroSub, a maximum capacity of 20.000 lpm per FloodPump can be achieved. This is achieved by replacing the standard submersible pump of the HydroSub with one or more of the lightweight FloodPumps.
Flexible in use
The FloodPump is mounted in a durable, stainless steel, demountable frame with a single floater for ease of use. For flexibility in different environments, the pump can be operated without the floater or the frame, allowing for use in areas with limited access or shallow water.
A powerful combination: HydroSub 60 with FloodPump
The HydroSub 60, paired with a FloodPump, delivers an impressive maximum capacity of 20.000 lpm. Designed for flood control and dewatering, this compact system -complete with 50 m of Hytrans FloodHose- ensures high efficiency while maintaining ease of transport. The FloodPump fits seamlessly within the HydroSub 60 frame, making it a space-saving solution for emergency operations.
For maximum mobility, the HydroSub 60 with FloodPump can be mounted on a trailer allowing for rapid deployment in critical situations. The trailer provides additional storage space for the FloodHose and, if available, the standard submersible pump with multiple impellers. With these additions, this combination transforms into a truly versatile solution, capable of tackling a wide range of emergency response challenges.
